This is a picture that Carson did for a button (and maybe t-shirt) that we’re going to make in honor of our accordion/keyboard player Jenny Conlee, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer right now. Anyway, this button (or t-shirt) will be available at upcoming shows; all proceeds will go to an as-yet-undetermined cancer research program.
In getting ready to interview Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis tomorrow, I tripped onto Colin’s tumblr and found this beautiful piece by Carson. I’m looking forward to talking to them about their new book Wildwood. (Monday 9/26, 6 p.m. Union Square Barnes and Noble, free because we love you. )
